THE GOAL

When we were approached by a team of amazing engineers working at Gannett Fleming to create something special to welcome their new CEO and President, we knew we had to get to work conceptualizing a standout video that would set the bar higher than ever before. After many "meetings of the minds" we drew inspiration from visual elements used in the classic music video by Billy Joel "We Didn't Start The Fire" as well as a recent film made for a side featurette for the movie "The Revenant".

OUR APPROACH

The idea was to project inspirational imagery on two connected custom built walls that would represent different feats of engineering as well as members of the company holding up photos of their specific achievements and core values. The Hologram Visuals team had a pre-light day to get the set built and the lighting style to match our storyboards and reference images. Using a mix of Quasar Science 4ft tubes and traditional Kino Flo's, we ended up with the look we wanted and the clients loved the outcome (even if they didn't quite understand exactly how it would all come together in the end).

The end result was a film that blew the minds of the heads of the company and all of the employees when the launched it via a livestream feed. Some shared that even some tears were shed but we'll just say that we had an amazing time creating this for Gannett Flemming and of course, ourselves! We're very proud of what we made here together.
